A sample size of 10 guardians of patients in ICU was used at KCH, the subjects were selected through purposeful sampling, data was collected using interview guide where the data was analysed manually through content analysis. The findings from the study have indicated that 100% (n=10) of the guardians who were interviewed are not supported in any way and are left out in the provision of care of their relatives. But these guardians develop some coping strategies that they used in order to deal with the experiences they encountered and these were acceptance, faith, and hope, in conclusion the findings have shown that guardians waiting for their relatives who are admitted in intensive care unit have experiences that affect them psychologically, but they don't have any person to talk to so that they can be understood to what they encounter in the process of being a guardian.
