Crynodeb:Periodic vitamin A supplementation is a major intervention to reduce morbidity, mortality and blindness among children in developing countries. The purpose of this study was to find out if mothers of the under five children have knowledge on vitamin A supplementation at Kawale Health Centre in Lilongwe. The study used a convenient sample of 30 mothers attending the under five clinic. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Data was analysed using computer package for Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and results were presented in frequencies, percentages and graphs. The findings revealed that the mothers of the under five children at Kawale Health Centre lack the knowledge on vitamin A supplementation. The study results indicate that there is need to improve on the awareness and sensitization of the public on vitamin A supplementation in order to improve the mothers' knowledge on vitamin A supplementation.
