description INTRODUCTION This article is about a qualitative study on knowledge and attitudes of family planning providers towards the youth seeking Emergency Contraception at Kawale Banja lamtsogolo clinic. Emergency contraception are defined as drugs or device that can be used by women in the first three (3) days following unprotected intercourse to prevent unwanted pregnancy. This method is 75% effective if offered within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. This method of family planning offer women especially the young women an important second chance to prevent pregnancy when regular contraception method fails no method was used and rape victims. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY This qualitative study will be conducted to determine the knowledge and attitudes of family planning providers towards youth seeking emergency contraception at kawale Banja lamtsogolo. Specifically, the areas of interest will be: to determine the knowledge of the family planning providers about emergency contraception, describe the attitude and examine the practice of family planning providers towards the youth seeking emergency contraception. This qualitative study contains four chapters and attached at the end are the appendices. METHODOLOGY Included in this article is the research methodology, which is on chapter four, on this part, is an overview of various techniques which the researcher will use to produce the knowledge related to the research question. DATA ANALYSIS Data will be collected using an interview guide which will be in Chichewa that will be later translated to English and tape recorder. The data will be analysed manually.
