description This study will be conducted at Kasungu District hospital. The aim of the study is to identify the knowledge, attitudes and perception of women towards eclampsia, one of the leading causes of maternal death in this country. A descriptive research design will be used and the data will be obtained through questionnaires. This will involve 30 pregnant women selected randomly at the antenatal and labour wards between the ages of 15-35. The findings for this study will assist policy makers in the Ministry of Health to develop policies that will assist in ensuring efficient and effective coverage of maternal and neonatal health services especially Basic emergency obstetric care (BEmOC) and comprehensive emergency obstetric care (CEmOC). This will help in reducing maternal and neonatal mortality in Malawi.
