description Students' knowledge, attitude and perception towards a learning strategy are very important in their learning as learners themselves do the learning. An explorative study was done to explore on knowledge, attitude and perception of the second and third year generic students at Kamuzu College of Nursing towards problem based learning strategy. A random sampling method was used to select the study participants from the classes as this gave equal chances to all members of the class to participate in this study. Samples of twenty-eight participants, fourteen from both classes were enrolled in the study. The study looked at the knowledge, attitude and perception of third year and second year students at K.C.N towards problem-based learning. The findings were there to help the institution to know how best to improve the implementation of the learning strategy at the institution. A questionnaire was developed with both open and closed ended questions to solicit information from the study participants. Findings of the study revealed that shortage of resources like recent books, access to free internet, attitudes of the lectures, large groups, and lack of knowledge on how the strategy works and lack of lectures follow ups as the main problem with the implementation of the learning strategy. These are very important issues which when attended to can help in the improvement of the learning strategy. Based on the finding’s recommendations were made. Findings also indicated some areas for further studies.
