Summary:The study aims at finding out knowledge and perception of patients towards Glaucoma and importance of follow up care. Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness in the world and is more prevalent among people older than 40 years of age and the available literature indicates that that more patients with Glaucoma do not know about Glaucoma and some of them do not go for follow up care mostly because of their lack of knowledge. The study will be done at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital ophthalmologic department (QECH). It. will be a quantitative study and the study sample will constitute 30 patients, ranging from 35 years of age or above using convenience-sampling method. Data will be collected using the questionnaire, which consist of demographic data, knowledge on Glaucoma and importance of follow up care and perception of patients towards Glaucoma and importance of follow up care. Data will be analysed a computer using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) and the results will be made available in the KCN Library, KCN basic department, research and publications committee and ophthalmologic department at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
