Sumario:Water is a common chemical substance that is essential for all forms of life. However when water is not properly treated and stored it may bring diarrhoea diseases such as cholera. In Malawi 50% of illnesses are due to water related diseases. This study will explore knowledge and practices of people from Tsabango village in Lilongwe suburb on treatment and storage of water from a well. The study will help to identify gaps in treatment and storage of water from a well so as to establish a basis for intervention hence preventing diarrhoea diseases and other water related diseases. Tsabango village will be the study setting because it uses a well as a source of water. Quantitative design will be used for the study and convenient sampling, a non probability sampling will be employed it involves collection of data from subjects that are easily accessible to the researcher and that they meet the research criteria. Data will be collected from thirty (30) respondents using a self-administered questionnaire.
