Gaia:Diabetic foot neuropathy is the major health problems for people with diabetes. To minimise the risk of this condition, diabetic patients are advised to perform preventive foot care and glycaemic control. This qualitative study used in depth interviews to find out knowledge and perception on diabetic foot neuropathy among diabetic patients at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital. Ten Participants participated in the study where they were involved on an face-face interviews and data obtained was analysed manually using content analysis. The research finding has revealed that most diabetic patients have little knowledge on diabetic foot neuropathy; fewer participants had poor perception on diabetic foot neuropathy especially on foot care practices. The findings of this study may help to prevent unnecessary foot problems due to neuropathy by ensuring that health personnel provide enough information to diabetic patients.
